NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center – Shuttle Support Facilities at Edwards AFB

Incorporated selected remediation and demolition of 25 outdated support buildings totaling 52,000 sf of structure, spread over 38 acres for NASA installation at Edwards Air Force Base. All underground utilities supporting these buildings were located, isolated and removed. Underground utilities were also rerouted and amended to maintain continuity for other active NASA facilities. Work required full survey and abatement of all structures for Lead Based Paint and Asbestos. 86,000 sf of new AC Paving and supporting curbs/site concrete paving was installed at the completion of the demo and remediation. Over 1 mile of new fencing was installed including roto-gates and motorized gate motor systems.
