Scripps Institution of Oceanography Nimitz Marine Facility (MarFac) Bldg Exterior

Weatherization and facility fenestration upgrades. Installed new roof, 68 new full height window replacements including new mullion and dual glazed glass, operable windows, and sliding glass doors. Scope also includes complete new flashing package (.316 stainless with Kynar finish) and replacement of brise-soleil (architectural sun shade) that wraps the building. Retrofit structural anchoring and blocking added during course of construction to properly create drag-line for roof diaphragm and concrete tilt-wall panels in longitudinal direction.
